gen II steel body

anyone know if the steel body project still in the works? now that the gen II composite body is out, i assume that ship sailed. any news?

I believe FFR didn't finally make a comment about it in passing in the past few months, it's gone. They basically did a couple of protos and that was it.

Yep, sad... I was really hoping it would come to fruition, but I believe it will not come to be. I guess it is some consolation that the Gen2 body appears to be MUCH better than the Gen1, and FFR is getting more involved with carbon composites. I believe some of the panels for the "Speedstar" hot rod are carbon composite (engine side panels), and the new supercar is touted as having "ready to paint" carbon fiber body. Hopefully the knowledge and processes trickles down to the regular bodies.
