I know this has been discussed quite a bit in other threads, but just wanted to share my experience as I am pretty happy about it.

I also know that results and measurments will vary some based on the equipment used, weather, slight differences in the build, skill of tuner, etc so it is difficult to straight up compare one persons results to another but... here is my experience.

My plan during the build was to use one of the remote tuners many have used, as it sounded like everyone was pretty happy their experience. After I put about 1,000 miles on my build, I decided it was time to fine tune everything. I went into a local "speed shop" just to talk and see how I felt about using them. The "tuner" there happend to be free when I dropped by. After asking me about my car and build experience, and after hearing that I used a crate gen 2 coyote he asked me "What do I think about how it runs at a cold startup", and "What do I think about the fan kicking on at 165 degrees and just staying on". Well, as it happened it I stumbled on a tuner with about 30 years of custom tuning experience with quite a bit of experience with the Gen 1 and Gen 2 coyotes. Besides saying he could address both these issues with the tune, he said I could probably expect about 20HP more and a smoother running motor. Since it looked like I had a good local option, and it was much easier... I decided to forgo the remote vendors.

The end results of the Dyno test after the tune are below. I did pick up a little over 20HP on their dyno after the tune and maxed at 440. Not really here to compare or debate numbers, just wanted to show the results in case someone is interested. I think it is similar to how other tuned Coyotes have performed.

I DO WANT TO MENTION that the TUNER DID ADJUST THE FAN START TEMP to 190. I do notice a little difference in the time it takes for it to start, but don't really know if it will make any difference once the car is warm and running, we will see.

He also adjusted something with cold start paramters and idle parameters. Car is much quiter on cold startup, and seems much smoother. Warm idle is now very quite (almost production car quite...). Note that I do have Gas-N side pipes.

Overall, the engine just seems to run smoother, and perhaps a little quiter. I haven't had a chance to really test if it is more responsive or powerful yet, but it feels like it might be improved a little too.

Overall happy with the result. I would reccommend some sort of custom tuning for anyone with a Coyote.
