I asked this on my build thread but only got one response, so I thought I would try here. Since the door striker mounts bolt to the outside of the bracket on the frame, can they be mounted with the body off and the strikers installed through the 3/4 inch hole when the body is installed? I tried installing them body on, like the manual shows, and it seems pretty impossible. Particularly on the passenger side with the a/c hoses in the way. 120749120750

I'm not sure you can spring the body over the mounts and the striker. I installed mine after the body was on and it does take a little finesse to get the bolts in place.

Don't think you can get the body on/off with that part installed.
I can't remember how many times I dropped the bolts trying to get those brackets mounted.

I just wanted to follow up on this thread in case anyone else ran into the same problem. This weekend I glassed in Tim Whittaker's defrost plenum and, with the help of a friend, we put the body back on the car. It is a tight fit and a lot of caution is advised, but it went over the hinge and striker mounts. I just left them loose enough so they would122665122666 slide.
