Most folks buy this set up from Mark Reynolds at Breeze Automotive.

I made something similar, which can be sort of seen in the video below, and I used Mark's fan shroud as an integral part of my system.

Also, please know that Mark makes good stuff and I've got his seat mounts and side pipe wedges on my car.

On the Photobucket and other forum comments: What's up with that? Photobucket seems to be junk and the forum is having problems, or is it just me? I can't see the pictures unless I go to the Photobucket site and that's a real PITA! And the banner on the FFcars forum is blocking everything.

thanks. I realize that Breeze makes a bracket, but was thinking it would be cheap and easy side project that I could do myself. I just wanted to see what others have done in terms of attaching the mount to the frame.

Did you see the other thread about breeze accessories? AC Bill posted that he did his own lower mount.

yes. that pic shows some "C" clamps holding the bar to the frame. I was wondering if there's a better way. Ducky showed a mount he made that looks a bit more like Breeze's mount, but I wasn't sure if he welded that together. I don't weld, so I was looking for another option that would avoid this. It would be nice if the adjustable tabs at the end of the Breeze mount was readily available and pre-fabricated. Not sure if this is something that he custom cut or drilled for this application. I'm sure I can figure something out but didn't want to reinvent the mousetrap.

This actually worked out perfectly for two Mk4 roadsters we built. We made out own sheet metal but the angle matched perfectly with the top cross bar.

its not just you. i dont remeber the cause of it, but if you use Chrome as your browser, there is a Chrome Extension that fixes it. its called "Photobucket Hotlink Fix" I've been using it for a little while, and it works well. I only give it access to the pages\sites that i need, otherwise i leave it turned off.

awesome! pics are nice and clear now. this answers lots of my questions. and thanks CDXXVII for your pics as well. very easy project for less than the $44 that breeze is charging.
