Breeze lower radiator mount, upper mount/hinge and upper cowl.
are these 1)a must have, 2)a nice luxury, or 3)not necessary
I already bought the fan shroud.
FYI, I'm running a 289 hipo and don't plan on autocross or racing.

Mark's stuff works; however, I wanted to do the radiator mount my own way.
I built the mount, but it is loosely based on Mark's (Breeze Automotive) basic design.
His fan shroud is now an integral part of my set up as you can sort of see in my attached video:

Note:.. I've got their Fan Shroud, Seat Mounts & Side Pipe Wedges.

I mounted the rad to the 3/4" frame rail at the top, without a hinge mount. With a solid lower mount bracket (to keep everything in place), I didn't see the need for a hinge mount. Made my own lower mount. See pic. Note: I added rubber bumpers (not shown). Also have the fan shroud.... Highly recommend it. Had an cowl cover but removed it. I don't have a hood scoop (less air circulation under the hood). Adding the cowl cover caused my engine compartment temp to increase considerable. I have a heater. While driving I would turn the heater fan on (without hot water circulating thru the core) to have some air circulating. The temp (under the hood - thur through the heater vents) became so warm, you didn't want it on.

I used lots of Breeze parts for the front end. Fan shroud, upper shroud, upper and lower mounts, lower radiator hose mount, forward battery mount, and on and on. If I were to do it again, or another one, I would use them all again, no questions. I like the "adjustability" with the radiator mounts to go with all my "custom" aluminum around the intake. As for the radiator mounts, eliminates that rig-a-ma-roll of getting all the intake aluminum and radiator to align with the body intake and attaching it all.
BTW, I did read a thread a few years back where someone had an issue with the radiator aluminum fatigue cracking (most likely) due to temperature variations and growing/shrinking of the mounting flange, and/or vibration. So I used a strip of 1 inch wide by 1/8 inch thick rubber along that mounting flange to allow it to grow and shrink. The small screws and nylon nuts are just snug to allow movement. Hard to see in the photos, but it's just under the flange on the radiator.
I used the lower mount, the fan shroud, and the top cowl piece, but not the hinged top mount.

looks legit. did you fabricate this yourself? welds? did you fab the end pieces or buy these somewhere?

You don't need any of his stuff, but I highly recommend just about all of it. Upper and lower radiator mounts made installation very easy, though with the upper hinge mount you have to cut off the two square tube short pieces. The fan shroud is a solid, good looking piece that makes a great support for the fan. The upper shroud is nice for the look when you have the hood open, but I kinda like the way mine looks without it and I still have cleaning access to the radiator from the top

GTBradley, the only problem w/ not having the upper closeoff piece is that a lot of the air being rammed in through the front radiator opening will take the path of least resistance. It will flow right over the top or your radiator.

Must have? No. But good, high quality stuff that upgrades factory design. I have a LOT of Breeze stuff, and the only thing I returned was some seals that my painter supplied.

Agreed, but I’m betting this Coyote runs plenty cool anyway. I’ll be driving through the Midwest in June on my way to LCS. I’ll be keeping an eye on that temp gauge.

I made my own supports. It was very inexpensive to put together, using common items available in most hardware stores. Section of pipe, rubber hose, electrical conduit clamps, machine screws, washers & nylock nuts.
There are several threads that cover some of the ideas builders used for upper and lower supports, here and on the FFCars forum. There were a lot of different radiators used on builds over the years, so it may require reviewing a few ideas, to find one suitable for yours.120595

Remember also that for those running 302 or 351 Windsor based engines Breeze also has lower hose and tube kits in Stainless or Aluminum.

All depends on you fabrication abilities. Breeze has a ton of great bits and kits to make your build easier.
Personally I enjoyed making all my own bits and kits. Gives me a chance to point out all the little details I made myself.

I agree, I like making all my own small bits. That said, Marks radiator hose kits are the greatest thing since sliced bread.;)
