The door linkage levers for my ‘35 pickup hit the back of the door on both sides.
Is this something with just my doors or have I missed something?

Please see attached photos. Two show the linkage lever as delivered, the other shows another view from my manual looking like it’s cut.

Can anyone offer the correct amount for me to remove? I tried in the drivers side and took off too much. Need to MIG it back up once I know the correct dimension.

Thanks

I just measured mine. they are cut 1 3/4" from center of the square hole. they need to be long enough to reach (rest on) the bent tab of the inside bracket.

Pat I measured mine and they are 2 3/8" from very back to end. I cut them off right at the end of that oval indent you have your pin pointing at. I also bent the end in towards the door skin a little so they would catch the stop better.

I had to cut mine also.
Just another one of those door things.
I have been letting mine rest for a few days, hoping I get some inspiration. So, back at them tomorrow.

Good luck Ralph!
I’m also taking a few days away from them now, but for me because of cold weather... It’s just too expensive to keep the garage warm at the temperature forecast.
I’ll be back in there by Friday tho :)
