Question for the Roadster builders out there that have used the RT turn signal system.
First, is there a good build thread that you would recommend that I review for install tips?
Second, do the VW relays install on or near the fuse panel? I’m wondering if I should modify the bracket before painting to allow for the extra relay(s).
Thanks as always for your support, Jeff

I added a dash support, approx 12" wide, just above the tunnel and mounted the relays on it. Sorry, don't have a pic. Bend a lip on the dash support and secure to the frame rail (so you can see the screws from inside the car when installed.... and can remove the support and replace relays if needed) and secure to the bottom of the dash. Also added a USB outlet in it.

Several points in response: (1) Russ's setup bolts right to the steering column mounting bracket. That along with the modified hub he provides makes the mechanical installation a piece of cake. Really nothing to it. (2) Electrically, the switch in the turn signal work is exactly like the double throw switch shown in the Ron Francis wiring manual and schematic. The only difference is it's actuated by the stalk vs. a toggle on the dash, and it cancels via the steering wheel. (3) VW relays are associated with the headlight circuit and aren't required when you install the turn signal setup. The relay(s) replace the dash mounted low/high beam switch. Some also use, and Russ provides, schematics that allow the momentary switch on the end of the turn signal stalk to trigger the low/high headlights. But that's entirely optional. Some just wire that momentary switch to the horn. Nothing else to do because the horn already has a relay in the Ron Francis panel.
