I brought the car down to the house. Wife and I rode out the gravel drive. Those tires sure pick up a lot of stone. We got on the paved road through the near by subdivision. Man this thing is low. No smoke or leaks. Brakes feel good. State has the paper work,,,waiting on an inspection date. 120428

You taking it down to Montgomery for the inspection? The guy that did mine was real nice there. Car was to low to go on their lift. He basically took a 5 second look, said nice car and where do you want the VIN plate attached?

The lady, at Montgomery, I spoke with, told me the inspector would come to me. I have been told, he frequents the shops in the area to inspect salvage rebuilds.
She also said, he would have the necessary equipment to assign and install the VIN. He calls to set up the date. Watching the phone,,,I should have put more than 1 number on the 26-3 form.
Was your VIN tag a decal?
I have the plate provided by FFR and have an idea where I want to mount it, after engraving.
I have the windshield mounted manual wiper arm. I hope that qualifies, if needed.
Did you have wipers for your inspection?

I had to trailer mine to Montgomery. Was a pain to do that part. The FFR vin plate isn't even on my car. He had a actual vin plate he riveted onto the frame for me. I had a single manual wiper arm in a bag in the trunk. He didnt care a thing about it.

Thanks for the reply. I feel better about the wiper. I guess it will be on the market for someone that needs it.
I loaded on the trailer to the alignment shop. Agree, no fun there.

I got the packet back, that I had sent to the state for registration. Form letter had the box checked indicating I need to provide a notarized bill of sale on the engine and trans.
I did send the bill of sale from Forte, which lady indicated would be fine. I think the problem slipped in, that the bill of sale does not say ENGINE, nor TRANSMISSION. Instead it has M-6007-A50XS and Ford TKO 600, with other numerous parts I purchased.
Plan on calling Toni at state first, then if needed call Forte for notarized bill of sale, I HOPE.
Maybe just a small delay. Wish me Luck.

State needs an invoice with engine and trans serial number. Called Mike Forte, email, pdf, and done.
Lady at state, said address to her attention. Back on course.
