Is this a Guardsman?? Not sure if it’s just me, but it looks just slightly darker to my eyes. I’m still driving in gelcoat, pondering paint colors and this one from Huntington Beach Show 2013 caught my attention.

Hard to say as the sunlight can really change the color not to mention what we see on our PC’s, phones, etc. The first pic does not look like Guardsman but again hard to tell for sure. Someone will likely know who owns that roadster and will pileup.

That really is a beautiful color.

sorta looks like a candy blue over chrome paint base.

The pictures look like they are HDR photos, hard to say the real color since they can cook the colors quite a bit in lightroom.

I think it could be a guardsman blue, or guardsman blue like, color with a ceramic coating.

Color is nice. Dash is stunning. Guessing cocobolo for wood choice?

sorta looks like a candy blue over chrome paint base.

Arlen Ness painted a lot of his bikes that way.

That pic certainly has some sort of filter or color enhancement.

Guardsman isn't that bright but as Delta0014 and Scott said it looks like the photos might have had the color enhanced.

Here's an actual Guardsman that I did recently:

I've done some brighter, more intense blues which look a little more like the photo. This one is first generation Viper Blue:

This is Toyota Speedway Blue:

Oh boy, here we go again with the blue haters! Here's a picture of my "inspiration" for what I wanted when I started my build:

Pretty close to the finished product:

I'll call it JMC, not JOC. :p

That’s a gen1 roadster. The pic has definitely changed the actual color. From Jeff’s post above I think it is the Viper Blue.

Based on the pic alone - at face value - it looks like a cousin to both Viking and Guardsman blue.

:)

Thanks for all the replies guys (and photos Jeff). I didn’t think about it until it was mentioned here, but the photos I posted just don’t look like real life. Makes sense. Also I agree - to whoever owns this car, nicely done.

Exactly. Everything with color in the pic looks candy.
