missouri rodder

got a bunch of questions, appreciate any help/advice:
1. I would get A/C and heat, getting old, moving to 4 wheel rods instead of motorcycles. What about side windows? i don't see anything in the kit referring to them and don't see a 33 rod pictured with them?
2. 4.5 inch ground clearance, in Missouri we have speed bumps and pot holes that high/deep. Larger wheel/tire to raise it and adjust the speedo, have other options been provided.
3. fit and finish, if has side windows, is it good seal with the hardtop, etc, wind tolerant or what?
4. anyone else in Missouri that i could come and check out your build before ordering?
im sure these answers may spark more questions, appreciate any advice or help. Todd.

Wow! I bet you get more diverse responses on this one than just about anything (opinions galor!). The reason I am responding is I just happened to be here and noticed your query. I agree with your #2. 4.5 in. is very low and invites damage no matter where you live. I'm thinking 6 in. is where I want to be. I think there is that much adjustment in the coil overs. But people like the low profile look. You have some real weather, I think (not like AZ). For your #3, you might think seriously about the Daytona Coupe. I think it is a real good compromise to the roadster (I love the roadster but am looking at the coupe as a second build) if you want any creature comfort (windows, effective heat and AC, etc). Those guys really love their coupes! Also, it is very similar to the roadster designwise. With more aerodynamic shape and 4 more inch wheelbase, you can go 150 mph with some reassurance that it will stay on the ground. I think the same ride in a roadster would be pretty hairy without air dam, etc. Whatever you decide, just make sure it's an FFR! Good luck. WEK.

You get the power windows with the hardtop. There are a few built with them, I haven;t installed mine yet.
I agree w/ the ground clearence as we have horrible roads in NY, but after 2300 miles, no damage or even a close encounter. No problems w/ speed bumps yet. I did have a car that was even lower so I'm cautious of this anyway. The nose is probably the most susceptable to damage, you have to be careful puling in a parking spot to not hit the curb.

My driveway is a challenge for my Mustang (not lowered) so I'll really have to angle the hot rod in and out. If we haven't moved by the time I start driving the car, I might store it somewhere else.

Like said above, the hard top option includes power windows. A few builders have them installed and working at this time. I plan to have mine installed before too long. There are several owners who have installed AC too. My roadster has a 4" clearance and I do not have any problems with that, but then again, I do slow down on roads that have them installed.
