Hi All
Does the body sit on top of the 3/4" arch dash tube when in place.
or
When the Dash is installed does it sit a little higher than the arched 3/4" dash tube and the body sit on the dash itself
or
Neither
Thanks
Martin

Dash should be sitting 3/8" below the arc frame at the ends. this ends up putting the center of the dash just below the 3/4" frame itself.
haven't fit the body on yet, but not sure if it'll be touching the dash, the frame, or both.
edit: yes, 3/16" not 3/8". my mistake.

I recommend 3/16ths of tube showing above the dash at the ends. It is all about body interference with the dash on the ends. The body does not contact the hoop...da Bat

I set the body on about a month ago and found that the body sits on the rubber bulb seal located on the firewall aluminum and does not touch the arc frame. I also found that my dash was not level when trying to keep the same drop distance on the ends. I set the body on temporarily to determine where my screws needed to be and to level the dash.

Most bodies will need the underside of the lip over the dash trimmed. As they come from FFR the body is usually a tight fit between the dash and the rear cockpit wall. With body on and dash in place (temporarily) look at that lip. Usually the clearance to the dash varies from zero to 1/4 inch. Use a marker to scribe a line so you can cut the body edge back for an even gap all the way across the dash. You may need to do some trimming of the rear edge as well. How much you trim the body at the dash and rear cockpit will allow you to fudge the body forward or backward to get the proper match at the door latch mount.
