First post, just wanted to say hi

My names is James and I have been doing research on this and ffcars forum for a long time. I'm 35 right now and am in the saving and planning stage of my build. I am hoping to buy a complete roadster mk4 kit sometime in 2021. The 427 cobra has been my dream car since I saw my first one at a Bob's Boy in Burbank Ca when I was 12 years old. I had hopes to build a kit from factory five earlier in life but, life happens and this is an expensive dream. (I'm getting so close though) I'm so excited to get started and am looking forward to learning as much as I can from the Factory Five community

Hi, glad to have you here. Have you looked into the build school at Mott College in Michigan. I had a great experience there, the instructors are excellent and you get to see a car put together from start finish and also can ask all the questions you want. Seeing a car up close like that answers questions you didn't even know you had yet. Plus I met a good friend there and we go back and forth working on each other's cars. Good luck with your project

Hi Garage Guy, thanks! Yeah, I'm planning on doing the build school early next year. I still have so many questions. I'm also hoping to meet people traveling on the same journey as me
