Hello,

Looking for some advice on a power steering leak that appears to be coming from the input shaft seal. This is the rack ordered from factory five and I only have about two go-kart miles total. Im pretty sure it's leaked the entire time. I have a Maval Mfg. power steering pump with no heidts valve.

Before I swap the entire rack out:

Are these input seals serviceable/replaceable?
Does high pressure cause this seal to fail? Should I be considering trying to reduce pressure? I like the feel of the steering now, but could it be over boosted?
If I do need to swap the rack, any other vendor to get a better quality (if one exists) rack?
Should I even consider stop leak stuff? I think I know the answer, but figured I'd ask.

Thanks for any advice. First time dealing with power steering rack issues.
