I got my hood latches and striker plates mounted yesterday. Very pleased with the results.
Double checked all my lighting and functions. I hung the wind wings with mirrors and was going to glue on the rear view mirror on the windshield, only to find it is too small. I think it is 5" by 2.5".
Sitting in the drivers seat, I had a very small rear view.
Going to stop by NAPA tomorrow. They have an 8" glue on black plastic model. The one I bought was polished billet alum. I will have eat the cost as the box and paper work are gone.
After this little delay, I moved onto the radiator aluminum. I got everything installed where it can be removed for body removal. I am not real happy with my work and disappointed I cut the front bottom too much. This after I engine turned and Shark hided the piece.
I will get back to the barn and see how things look on a different day.
Just in case, does anyone have the bottom and side aluminum for the radiator opening for a MkIV available.
I do not want to consider the after market kit at this time.

I think you have the same mirror I purchased. With the top on, the limitation is the rear window, not the mirror size. With no top, a larger mirror will offer more view, but without the top, truing my head will provide the best view.

I can see the mirror being good for something with a top and small rear window. It is a nice piece and looks right on the car. Not seeing a top in my plans, I will go with the 8" black plastic model for now.
