Quick question - I have installed the 2 pedal switches (brake and clutch) in the wilwood pedal box per instructions, then I see another clutch switch which attaches to the quadrant on the top of the pedal box specified in the Coyote instructions. Can somebody confirm that both clutch switches are required?
Thanks!

For a Coyote build, you need to replace the switch shown in the instructions using the Ron Francis clutch safety wires with the Coyote control pack switch. Accomplishes the same thing except it's controlled by the Coyote PCM. Actually better IMO because the Coyote switch location requires you to push the clutch pedal all the way down. The switch on the pedal as shown in the instructions only needs to be slightly pushed (same as the brake pedal) and the clutch may not be completely disengaged. Don't want to get into a safety police discussion. But at least for me it's safer. :o

Thanks, Paul. So to be clear - I can remove the switch from FFR which senses the early pressing of the clutch and only use the one from Ford which mounts top and is actuated by the quadrant, correct? I thought I saw a post somewhere saying both clutch switches were used but I can no longer find that.

Just to be clear, the blue RF clutch safety switches aren't used if you are using the Coyote start wire to the small terminal on the starter. In other words, you're letting the Coyote control pack PCM control the start function. Which is recommended and what I've done with mine. In that case, as I said the blue wires and switch from the instructions aren't used. You can tie the blue wires out of the way or remove them completely. You only need a single blue start wire (there's another one in the harness) from the ignition switch to the Coyote pigtail start sense wire. So yes to your first question.
For the second question, early Gen 2 Coyotes had both top and bottom clutch switches. That's what my 20th Anniversary has. Probably that's what you're remembering. In later revisions to the Gen 2 control pack, the top switch was deleted. Only thing left is the one at the bottom of the clutch travel. The Gen 3 Coyote is the same BTW.

Got it. Thank you!
