Can anyone show or explain where the tail light wiring needs to come out the back. I'm getting ready to lay down the rear aluminum panels and want to make sure I have the tail light wiring positioned in the correct spot to wire once the body is on.

Thanks

Good Morning,

I ran my tail light wires to the area just in front of the lower part of the trunk frame where the bumper/quick jacks mount.

They come through the aluminum side/sail panels on either side through rubber grommets to protect the wire harness pig tails.

You just need to lay the rear harness out before you permanently install the trunk floor or it will be a pain in the "You Pick The Body Part!"

Hope This Helps!

Any chance you have a pic of the wiring coming out of the aluminum side/sail panels on either side through the rubber grommets?

I laid my rear harness across the top of the fuel tank and then ran each turn signal leg along the underside of the 3/4" trunk framing. I secured the legs to the frame with two-lug anchors, though a properly secured riv-nut would work just as well (screw size was #10-32, which I've used throughout my build). The legs pop out under the trunk aluminum (next to the blue painter's tape visible in the last picture).

If you route your wiring this way, pay attention if you ever have to drop & reinstall the gas tank. You can pinch the wires between the tank & framing if you're not careful.
