I want make up a cover to hide the gas tank bracket on the lower truck shelf.
The angle looks to be a bit more than 90 deg.
Curious it know if this is the final angle or can the shelf be adjusted during body install to make it 90 deg ?
Here's a pick to show you what I am referring to.

Any input from a finished body install is greatly appreciated.

Are talking about the tank strap bracket on the passenger-side?
If it bothers you, relocate it below the aluminum, like the drivers side. It's a little bit of work, but it will bug you later if you don't.
(and to answer your question, it can be persuaded to 90*. I don't see a reason why not.

You can remove that tab above the tank strap brackets. Unless you have a very specific donor tank mount (haven't seen one in ages) it's not needed. That helps. Once you have the body on and the trunk carpeted, that lower mount practically disappears. It's just not a big deal IMO, and I'm pretty picky about things like that. A cover would just draw attention to it. The other option is to shorten the strap and move the mounting underneath like on the LH side.

I built a cover to hide the bolt. If you do, be sure to make it long enough that you can remove the bolt with the cover in place.

I have one of the very specific donor tanks mentioned by edwardb. I made a removable cover that hides the messy looking mounting bracket. To answer your original question, that lower shelf just friction fits to the body and a 90 degree angle as shown in your picture is fine. Here's a picture. It's a little banged up from stuff getting stored on the lower shelf but still looks better than the exposed bracket.

Exactly what I had in mind (and for the same reason).
