Are there no basic hinges included or is that why they include the hood pins(that pretty much no one uses)? I guess if that's the case, you are forced to buy the hood hinge kit FF part #15131.

The complete kit comes with hinges for the hood. I believe the basic kit only comes with the pins.

Dave is correct and at the risk of stepping on toes I do not endorse the use of hinges other than the ones from FFR.

I have a base kit and ended up buying the ffr hinges as you mention above, solid design and easy install.

I have a base kit and ended up buying the ffr hinges as you mention above, solid design and easy install.
I guess the Canadian kit does not come with any....Transport Canada might believe that makes the kit too much like a real automobile...
EDIT!!!! I just went through the Canadian order form and I didn't check that box(DOH). Got on the horn to Factory Five and ordered a set.

Back when I ordered my roadster, Transport Canada wouldn't have allowed a Complete kit into Canada. Even the Base kit had several parts deleted from it, to meet the standards, (for which we never rec'd any discount from FFR)..
Interestingly, there was no issue with including any of the optional accessories that I ordered, which were also shipped with the kit, including the hood hinges.

When you put the FFR hinges together you may want to shim each bolt so that they don’t have any slop. I found that they are easier to adjust and they align the hood better if you shim them to no slop to a very slight interference.
