The Moser rear end arrived today, waiting on the rest. Super excited, a bit apprehensive. Got some bids today on powdercoating, both wanted to price it on a square footage basis. Does anyone know how many square feet of panel are in the build?

I’d say you need to keep looking. Sorry I don’t have an answer to your question on sq footage.
What does it seem like their primary source of business is? Look for guys with big ovens that do fences, gates, things like that. The cost of the powder to do all my aluminum was about $20, the rest is all labour and I don’t think it makes much difference how big a piece is. I probably paid $5 a piece or something. I probably spent $400 total for all aluminum and uncoated steel parts. Hinges, parking brake etc. .

Like Murd said, keep looking. I had my whole chassis and all the panels powder coated and they never calculated by the square foot. My coater based it on the number of racks he had to put in the oven. I'm guessing you went with the Factory Five Chassis Powder coating, so now it's time to pick an accent color on the panels. Planning the build is almost as fun as the build itself.

While not official by any means I did a calculation when I was considering powder coat for all the aluminum panels and I came up with approximately 84 sq ft. and a total of 168 sq ft for both sides. I posted the math on post #80 of my build thread.

I am in Oskaloosa, 60 miles South East of Des Moines. I am doing A MK4 Coyote build, just starting the body fitment. Plan to have it on the road this spring in gel coat and paint next winter.

This sounds like a really great reason to pick somewhere near Des Moines to meet for lunch or breakfast.

I've had some stuff done at Tony Morrow in Des moines. Cleanest powder coating shop I have ever seen.
