Merry Christmas to you all. It's 65 degrees in Denver today and I took the car out for my second drive. What a blast this thing is and I'm enjoying all the waves, thumbs up, and shouts. One lady shouted, "Nice Corvette!" as we were sitting at a light. I can't wait for summer and a drive in the mountains.

Yeah, you’re going to get that along with “nice Jaguar/MG/Triumph” among others! When I first put mine on the road 12+ years ago the “is it real” question was common but for the past 7 or so I get more “is that a Factory Five?” Credit good marketing and exposure!

Great to hear that you’re able to get it out Dave!

2012 build and I usually get asked, what kit is it? When I say Factory Five the reply is always very positive.

Lots of pictures in my build thread, but here's one from a couple of days ago...

Thanks, Jeff. You'll be happy to know that it's running great! Looks like the EFI is liking the actual driving and seems to be learning. At least it's not gulping gas like it was. I've put about 80 miles on it since filling it up and it's reading 3/4 full on the gauge. Looks like I'm getting ~20'ish miles per gallon.

I also had my first challenge to race. A guy in a VW...he won when I forfeited by not taling the bait. I'm sure he's telling all his friends how he beat a Cobra today.

A vette? Well I guess if one was thinking of 60’s one can be excused a bit. One of my first drives in gelcoat thought it was a Ferrari....

Ha! Was she in a pickup truck? I got the same comment. She looked confused when I told her what it actually was. Glad to see you’re on the road. If you want a nice drive that’s not too far from home, go down 105 to Palmer Lake. I did that last Sunday and it was wonderful!

No, she wasn't in a truck, but she was confused. There's no shortage of scenic drives to choose from in Colorado. Thanks for the tip. I don't want to get too crazy yet as I still need to get the front end aligned. Jeff got me close, but it needs to be dialed in on an alignment machine.

I was at the MVA State Police Inspection Station gettin my VIN assigned, and a lady walks up and asks "How Much?" I just laughed, she laughed, we all had a good chuckle...

It's a very rare 1952. That's why it doesn't look like any other Vette.

Don't you mean the 1951 1/2 model year?
