View Full Version : Looking for a horn button with a chrome bezel

Hey guys,

After putting my dash together, the horn button is bothering me. All the components except the horn button have black and chrome. The FFR button is just black. Does anyone know where a black and chrome version can be purchased? If not, are there any suitable replacements that are black and chrome? I saw ********** has one that could work, but I need to look into it more. I was hoping for a direct replacement to the FFR to since I already have the hole cut for that button and I don't want to change the wiring any.

Thanks!

Frank,

This is the button I'm using. It's a direct replacement for the FFR button in form, fit, and function.

I've used this one on all my builds. Lucas, but seems to be OK quality. How can you go wrong with a pushbutton momentary switch? It does look and feel higher quality than the kit provided button. https://www.**********accessories.com/p-230-switch-horn-start.aspx. Thanks guys. The one from ********** is more what I'm looking for. I'll probably go with that one. I need to confirm the hole size is correct before I order.

Thanks Walt. I got them from Ashley Hinton in the UK via US eBay... https://www.mg-cars.org.uk/ah/ I told the company they need to sell them on this site. Not sure if they ever became vendors or not. I posted something about how to get them awhile ago. You do have to do some modifications to get them to work on our dash controls. Check out post #413 in my build thread. It cost me about $165 for the six knobs. Kinda pricey, but I like the way they look.

The FFR button is 22mm and the ********** is 18mm. The bezel on the ********** button may cover the larger hole.

That's a big difference. :(

Paul, Next time you are out in the garage, would you measure your push button bezel OD for me? No rush.

Yep, I bought a basic rotary switch from Summit. Click Here (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/aww-500146). p/n: 500146 .Obviously, I haven't tried it yet. I think I got the suggestion from another forum member that has used it, but can't remember who to give credit to.
