waiting knowing it is ready is the hardest. The good part is many of the back orders will be added to the shipment before it leaves.

I was in a similar position last year this time. Mine was ready for pick up around 12/20, but due to my schedule and Stewart's it was not picked up until late January. Then once it was picked up there was a major snow storm out East that added a few more days!
As David said, when it finally did arrive, my POL was very short and i had all the major parts needed to dive right in.
If you ordered the Wilwoods, you may see those earlier and you can at least get started with the safety wire. Mine showed up over the Christmas break.

i will share some once i get somthing to play with
Back when I ordered my Roadster kit, Stewart was having driver issues and could not give me a hard delivery date. I decided to make the trip to the factory and pick it up myself. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip. I'd suggest you do the same but weather was not a factor when I made the trip. I don't think I'd like pulling a trailer from WI to MA and back in a snow storm.
Good luck with your delivery and have fun!

it took me over 2 weeks to get a date from stewart , i have considered going to pickup but having to pay crate fee $800.00 renting trailer and paying gas and hotel its not worth it .
i have waited 10 years so i could pay cash so another couple weeks will be a breeze,
plus wife will be happy over holidays ,if car was there i would be in garage all the time

FYI, There is no crate for a factory pickup.

Staying out of your wife's way is always a good thing. Good for the marriage. I rented a 12' open U-Haul Trailer and used 4 used skid steer tires as a base. They guys at the factory had a nifty little jig to lift the kit off dolly and placed in the trailer. The skid steer tires lifted the chassis just high enough to clear the low tail gate. I was worried about bumps so I opened the tail gait a few inches and used bolts/nuts in the gate chains to keep it from opening all the way. The kit was wrapped tight with a waterproof car cover and then a large tarp. I then secured he tarp with duct tape to keep it in place. I secured the frame with some ratcheting straps I bought across the street at Home Depot (or was it Lowes?)... You have to secure the kit yourself. The factory will not help. While I did go through a lot of rain, the car stayed nice and dry. I could not get all the boxes to fit in the back of my Durango so stuffed the cockpit with boxes. My total cost including rental, tolls, and hotel was about $600 less than Stewart's quote.
