I saw this done in another forum and thought I'd start a thread here for a little fun heading into the holidays. It's simple, just add up the total number of pistons in your garage, barn, storage unit, etc. These should be for assembled machines, not the box of old parts in the back corner of the shop.
My count is 42!
Wife's car = 6
My daily driver = 4
MK4 = 8
Truck = 8
Tractor = 3
Pressure washer = 1
Compressor #1 = 1
Compressor #2 = 2
Leaf blower = 1
Garden tiller = 1
Weed trimmer = 1
Generator = 2
Lawn mower = 1
Riding mower = 2
Snow blower = 1

Not a lot of pistons but I make up for it in electric motors!
That's a large carbon footprint out there. I counted 59 for me but thinking about adding two more after racing season if I don't break anything like last year.
Hope Al Gore doesn't read this thread.
Also counted 66 rubber tires on all these vehicles around the rancho (including the six trailers scattered all over the property).
