My name is Michael, been a gearhead for many years. Currently in practice at Mayo Clinic in non operative spine care. Have a Porsche Boxster that I like to work on and play with. Helped high school buddies build derby cars way back in the 80's, but haven't had a lot training as a mechanic per se. Interested in building a car, but a little scared by the prospect as well. Pleasure to meet all of you and will likely just be reading a lot here.

Welcome. Go to the build school at Mott Community College in Michigan to help ease your concerns. I'm nearly finished with my build (go cart stage) and have no significant prior experience. The folks on this forum can answer any question you may have. Good luck.
