It is great isn't it. I've been snowboarding for 10+ years. The past few years I've had to put the skis back on while I teach my young ladies, I prefer they start on skis.

It is easier to be a bad skier than a bad snowboarder, but it is harder to be a great skier than it is to be a great snowboarder.

For any of you looking to hit the hills on just one board...the trick is speed. It's impossible to snowboard slow.

Sadly this ski season is soon to be a wash here in Ottawa, we didn't get a good bit of snow until last week and we are looking at temps in the 40's and rain for a few days. I'll have to head down south to find good snow this year.

Headed to Mammoth this weekend. 8-14 ft base, and 2.5 ft of new starting tomorrow!
Started boarding 6 years ago, and never looked back. I am already as good a boarder in 6 years as I ever was a skier after 25 years.

Boarding is much easier on your knees. It's also a lot more comfortable walking into the Chalet.

I'll stick to Sking. I spend to much time in the snow when I snowboard.

I'm jealous, easier to count base in inches up north this year. I'm supposed to be volunteering at the girls ski trip this Friday but the forecast Thursday and Friday is above freezing with rain...they will be heartbroken.
