Was this a previously running car with a bad engine in it now or an unfinished build still in need of one of the 2 engines needing to be rebuilt to be installed?

Messaged! Anyone know how much work this would be to get back up and running? I'd have to have a mechanic do the motor work since I'm not that mechanically inclined, but not sure how much money it would cost me to get this car ready to race/drive. Looks like an awesome build and a great price though!

Subaru is good about the motors as you can get a short block from them for ~$1800. The problem is getting it to last while making power as there pistons are not the best. My motor in my daily built WRX ran me right around 10k for me to do myself. I’m making just over 400 awhp how ever. Used motors are a option too but there is risk involved but for a couple thousand you can drop one in and go.

Here is a contact in the East: Ryan Davis = Cobb Pro Tuner and owner of Turbo Time in Sanford, NC. They know 818s and build engines and transmissions. He can give you some estimates on cost and tuning. 910 578 2849 direct to Ryan and 919 292 6366 to Katie @ Turbo Time. Tell them what you have and what you want to accomplish...they can advise you on how they would go about the project. They have a lot of experience with the aftermarket world of Subaru..that is all they work on.

Good Luck!

They have worked extensively on mine:
