Another door question - outer door latch.

I seem to have two different sets of exterior door handle metal backer plates in my inventory bag #33603. One set is powder coated with a lip on it which appears is to limit handle movement, the other set has no lip and is bare metal. From the manual pictures, it appears I use the one with the lip.

I also have two large springs, on inventory list as right and left ext. door handle return springs. I can see no reference to them, and no pictures of their use in assembly manual. Are they for the hot rod, necessary in pickup, or just something included to confuse me? If needed, where do they go?

I must apologize. In searching, I see robodent ask this spring question previously. Not needed on pickup.

FFR is just trying to keep us on our toes.
