View Full Version : Hinge for the motor cover?
Replicaparts no longer makes hinges for the motor cover. Anybody have a suggestion? Anybody fab their own?

The first pic shows the hinges that Replicaparts used to sell. Thanks for starting the process. Any other solutions?

If I could get 10 people to commit I would remake them. The 818 parts business had been non existent over the last few years. Makes it tough to stock stuff like this.

I'd encourage 10 of you to get together and convince Mike to make another batch of these. They work perfectly, come with easy to follow installation instructions, and make trunk installation much improved as well.

I didn’t realize Mike stopped selling, I sent him an email recently for just this part. I was starting to look at fabbing my own. So, I make 3!
Though my shock brace turbo clearance mod might require some extra work and my trunk is mounted differently so it sits lower on the bumper cage brace. Sigh, every custom change requires 3 more changes down the road, lol.
Okay. Now we’re rolling. 10 @ $ 175.00 is $ 1,750.00. With 3 so far that’s $ 550.00 each. Let’s get to 10.

I have the engine cover hinges and also the FFR trunk insert. They work great together. Im glad I bought his hinge kit.
