I am planning winter upgrades and am planning to instal a Holley Sniper EFI system. Also, we eventually plan to retire in Nova Scotia. Since I have to make allowance for the O2 sensor, I was wondering if converters were required and I would do that now too.

PS I tried to read through the Nova Scotia regulations I found with a Google search but, my lawyer speak is not that good and came away slightly confused.

Hey Norm,

Only seeing your post now and am not sure whether you are headed NS way or not. Beautiful place to live although I do not like the long winters. Below is what I found and unless yours is registered as a 65, I think you may have to add cats.

“ Every motor vehicle, of model year 1991 or later, registered or required to be registered in the Province pursuant to the Motor Vehicle Act and which was manufactured with pollution control equipment designed to reduce the emission of hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and oxides to the atmosphere shall remain so equipped, and the equipment shall be maintained in good working order.”

In Alberta I am register as a 1965 replica. Plan to retire in Nova Scotia and avoid the winters with a large sailboat. My wife is a maritimer and we met when I did an 11 year stint in the Canadian Navy. Loved Halifax and have lots of family there.
