Had a PM question on this & thought that some pictures would help. Ordered a dirt track Nomex honeycomb radiator panel from SpeedWay Motors along with some button ended zip tie type mounts.

Sprayed the panel with flat black high temperature rattle can paint. Takes about 2 cans as the Nomex will absorb quite a bit. Made a paper template of the radiator face at the point it contacted Mike Everson's panel.

Painted the raw edges from the cut & put the panel into the opening against the radiator face. Use four of the zip thingies pressed through the honycomb & radiator fines & pushed the retaining button on them. Unit has about 3 years & is cleaned by blowing compressed air through it from the radiator side.
