We’ve been working on an all-new front engine supercar design for over a year. The chassis is a derivative of the proven and high-performance Gen 3 Type 65 Coupe. The body is an all-new, original, and modern Factory Five design. The plan is for the body to be delivered in finished (no body work required) carbon fiber. We are bringing the chassis to SEMA powered by a V12 LS engine making 755 HP and an amazing 694 lb.-ft. of torque in a 9.5L displacement!

The carbon fiber body for this all-new car should be ready in the first quarter of 2020, and production sometime later in the year.

The prototype is powered by a V12 LS engine, but the new car will accept all powerplants that work with the current Type 65 Coupe.

If the new body shape and car make it through prototype evaluation and testing, this new car will likely replace the awesome GTM as our flagship supercar.

A finished body sounds incredibly appealing to me. I have zero desire to do bodywork and farming it out is very time consuming and expensive and honestly was the only part of the roadster build that I did not enjoy. Cant wait to hear more about this as time progresses.

Looking forward to evaluation period.
Some thoughts:
Wonder if the body will come clear coated with carbon Fiber exposed or an actual color on it? Probably should offer both options since the Carbon fiber look is going out of style and not everyone likes it
I Would also offer optional engine mounts for Viper V-10 motor - LS and LT along with Fords 5.0 and 5.2 L Not sure how many people would put the 55K 12L LS engine in . Thought it is a very unique and awesome motor with so much more potential for power

Awesome!

Almost exactly ten years ago -- on 9/9/09 -- I unveiled my twin-turbo V12 powered Roadster to the Factory Five community. (I'd link to it for guys here who don't know me or remember me from years past, but I'm not sure references to the "old forum" are allowed.) I have been anxious to see the final body style for FFR's new front-engine supercar ever since the GT-F was announced, but even without seeing the final shape -- I wholeheartedly endorse your choice of engine configuration for the SEMA show chassis. You guys have eclipsed my build in every regard -- more displacement, more horsepower, more torque, and very definitely more expense!! But perhaps with all that extra space in the engine bay, someone else will be inspired to go grab a cheap V12 from a wrecked BMW or Mercedes and DIY the install like Wayne Presley and I did a long while back.

Cheers, John

Jeff

I hope not a complete redesign, the rear/sides were pretty much on point and looked great, the only thing that I didn't like the look of in my opinion was the front, specifically the headlights.

Looking forward to pics!

This looks awesome. I have been on the fence of buying a FF or a new C8. I guess I am waiting for 2020Q1. I really hope the body comes out good. I like the CF idea. I hope it is more angular and aggressive than the 818.
