Rusty BB-K headers

Has anybody had the problem with the BB-K headers rusting ? I graduated my MK4 Nov 011 and have less than 3000 miles and headers are rusting. I thought the ceramic coating was supposed to be rust free.

Take a look at the header bolts and see if they are rusty. THe rust transfers on top of the ceramic and easliy removed with some chrome polish.

I have noticed a slight dulling of the ceramic coating, but certainly no rust. I have never had my car out in the rain though..

Perhaps the headers weren't prepped properly at BBK, before the coating was applied, or perhaps it was applied to thin?

The cae has never been in the rain and never washed down. The rust started on inside radius on right side but now is on both sides , even on the BB-K logo.
