Brake Question

Hi All,

Quick question about the brake calipers...While assembling the front calipers, the left-side caliper hanger slid onto the hanger pins pretty easily but the right-side was more difficult; I guess it's possible one of the hanger pins is slightly bent. I DID apply the grease to the pins as instructed but I still had to tap the right hanger onto the pins. Is that ok, or will the brake hangup when the brake system is fully functional?

Just my personal thoughts but, I'd try to find out WHAT is causing the pin(s) to hang up enough that you had to "tap" them in. Any "binds" in a braking system are cause for some investigation. Your calipers should "float" back-n-forth easily by hand.

Ok, good point. I didn't know if a little resistance was normal, or if it should "float" as you said. I guess I'll take it apart and investigate.
