I was thinking that a while ago, someone found/posted some cheap multi-pin connectors that would have been ideal to use to connect the main harness to the gauge cluster....so you could unplug one or two connectors and remove the whole gauge cluster?.....something like a 12-pin pigtail connector with both the male and female halves?

On my roadster build, I did that to make the dash removable. Cheapo 20 pin ATX extender, has the male and female connectors, just cut in the middle. Buy the length of extender you need.

I used Anderson Power Poles and made my own multi-pin connectors. Separated them out into 3 or 4 logical connectors. My wiring still isn't very neat, but a fella could do much better than I did.

I contacted SpeedHut and ordered their individual connectors so I could remove / replace any gauge. Took a few practice runs with a crimper to get the connections right.

They stock all kinds of electrical components and connectors. My electrical engineering buddies used them for projects all the time.
