We brought home Karen's Coupe on Sunday. What a machine! The Daytona has found its new home in Ogden, Utah. We're excited to finish, but will spend the time to study the car and decide where the coupe will take us from here. With Karen's encouragement, all the great work already fishished on the coupe, and the FFR forum, we're off to a great start. We look forward to the finish line! Kallen and Mary, South Ogden, Utah

Kallen,
Since there is still work to be done on the Coupe to finnish it, you qualify for the "Revered Coupe Jacket".
Raise your right hand and say after me,
"I Kallen, do swear/affirm, that upon acceptance of this "Revered Coupe Jacket", will willingly subject myself to all manner of frustration and abrasion that my FFR Type 65 will provide. I further pledge that any and all fellow Coupe builders will have free reign in using the cash available in my wallet as they see fit to improve my build plan. I will not look down upon our fellow Roadster builders, but rather take pity on those not talented enough to build a race car with a roof, So Help Me God!"
It is my pleasure to present you with the "Revered Coupe Jacket", Here's your sign!!

I knew someone would think it was the race coupe.... :-)
It was her other street coupe - which I don't think she ever drove because it's not finished.

I will wear the jacket proudly, knowing it comes from a long line!!! I will also accept all offers of a "better idea". I have already worn out a pair of shoes just walking around it. Yeah, 1 AM, straight out of bed for a walk around the Coupe but I am sure you know the drill.
Thanks! Kallen

Hank: The jacket fits a little snug, but my wife keeps tightening the straps. She says it'll keep my hands out of my wallet.
Thanks, Kallen (and Mary)

Kallen and Mary,
It's an absolute pleasure to welcome you to Coupe ownership. Congratulations on bringing home your new baby, and I look forward to following what I know will be the rest of an awesome build. That car is registered and street legal now, and has travelled almost 7,000 miles in its journey to being "finished." It has some of the coolest parts and the best workmanship on the planet, from some of the best owners/builders in this community. Yet, it has but one mile on the odometer, which would have all been logged by yours truly in the last year....The other 6,999 were in a trailer travelling between each of us who were her caretakers in the past few years.....;.)
I am so glad to have met you and Mary, and wish you many years of happiness with your car...I look forward to the day when we can run our Coupes wide open down that mile long straight at Miller MP! Of course, you'll have 2x the HP on me, so I'm already planning the hole shot onto the front straight..... Yee Haw!
Karen
PS....You really need to tell these guys about your "other" car, who owns it, and what the license plate is on that beauty....Talk about kharma...

Karen,
The car has had an amazing journey but I promise the next 7k miles will be with tires on the road. We had a great time meeting you and I think I talk more about our visit than the car! That is alot of talkin. You are amazing! Hope to see you soon. Hole shot? I would never close the door.
As for the other car? A Shell Valley Cobra. Oops! Did I say that? It really is abeautiful car and a serious award winner! The plates? VNMISS. Coincidence? I think not. I do believe it was meant to be. Yeah, the Cobra is Mary's car! She is a driver as well! The Coupe is mine!!! All mine!!!

Kallen,
You can only take off the jacket to write checks for parts, turn wrenches, etc. and to DRIVE the coupe!
