Using 4 link, upper pass control arm nut does not fit due to the 3 link bracket, since I have the rear cockpit wall in, can not install the other way > Now what can I do ?

Um, I see nobody is touching this thread, here's my take Bill, and it ain't good.
If yours is like mine (I have a MKII), the rear suspension must be in and torqued before the rear cockpit wall goes in. I had to trim the ends off the bolts to get them in, even without the aluminum in the way. I remember thinking to myself that if the upper control arms were ever coming out, either the cockpit wall was coming back out or I'd be cutting an access hole.
Which is what I'd recommend. Cut access holes as needed, then cut oversize patches to rivet back in. You won't notice anything once the carpet and seats are in.
Hope this helps.

I just ran across this with my coupe but with the coupe frame the bolt has to go in that way. I ended up grinding off the sholder on one side of the bolt and grinding the weld on the 3 link bracket to make it fit. Hopefully the removed shoulder on the bolt hasn't compromised it's integrity too much.
