View Full Version : Brake line fasteners?
Just curious how what type of fasteners you used to mounted your hard brake lines? Rivets, self tapping screws, etc...
Thanks

Rivets, less chance of snapping heads and rivet can be drilled out

Personally I prefer Rivnuts and stainless steel 10-24 cap head bolts with blue lock-tight and I clean the drill hole with alcohol and paint with a color matched paint pen. But that is just me.

I drilled and tapped mine using 10-32 screws.

Rivets and P clamps for all of the lines. But I haven't driven mine yet, so who knows. It may fall apart when I do. :p:D

?????? threaded attachments, either rivnuts or tapped are fine for service or maintenance items, neither of which apply to brake lines. P clamps and rivets are perfect for this job. Fast and inexpensive.

Yep. No need to complicate this.

P clamps with large head 3/16 exploders. I've become a great fan of these things...they pull tight and ain't going anywhere!

I like 'em for splash panels too.
