Hello All,
Question, the red wire in the Coyote kit harness that says HAMM, Does it just run to battery hot? The manual names a few wires and says the rest are not used, but the harness has to get power from somewhere.

You don't specifically say (and it would help) which Coyote version. I'm going to assume it's a Gen 2 (2015 - 2017) since that's the most common right now. If not, this response may/may not be accurate. The harness gets power from the battery connection to the front bolt terminal on the Power Distribution Box (PDB). The required connections, including through a supplied 250 amp fuse, are described on page 16 of the Ford Performance instructions. On the latest versions of the harness, not shown in the instructions unfortunately, there is an additional short power connection that also goes on the PDB terminal. I personally don't have experience with this. My earlier version was different. Perhaps this is the wire you're asking about? All the power wires in the main harness are used. There are a couple of wires in the 16-way I/P Pigtail that aren't used (page 14-15 in the Ford Performance instructions) but none of those supply power to the system. Here in case you don't have it: https://performanceparts.ford.com/download/instructionsheets/FordInstShtM-6017-504V.pdf. Hopefully you also have the Factory Five Coyote installation instructions. https://www.factoryfive.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Coyote-fitment-Hot-Rod-rev-Z.pdf. Between the two, should show what you need.
