I am sure it has been discussed here plenty. I tried the search button, but couldn't find relevant threads.
On a subject of roll-bars, I would hate to see a slow motion video of what happens to your head if you get a tug from behind. We are talking low back seats, not race seats. They look the best, but it seems like your head will have a hell of a whip lash before hitting a solid metal bar.
Anyone seen a tasteful way to add a little extra safety to the seat / roll-bar setup?

My wife insisted on headrests. I crafted these using wheelchair calf pads.

If you like the look of low back seats with the added protection of headrests I did a write-up on how to build custom head rests to your roll bars. The write-up is over at the FFCars.com site.

What are you using for the support bracket itself? I want to do something similar on my 33 hotrod.
My plan was to use a tee sleeve with a 1 1/2" tube across the single rollbar then something to attach the actual headrests.
thoughts?

These are the ones I am going to make. It was the first mod I wrote down and bookmarked. Any time you mention them I am going to remind you how brilliant and simple that fix is.

I copied John4337 and put headrests on my seats. They are designed for 65 / 66 Mustangs. They look like they belong so well that no one has ever noticed them enough to even ask a question about them.

Here is a picture of the headrest and bracket one of the forum members was selling a few years ago (can't remember the name). Came with raw aluminum roll bar clamps that I powder coated to match roll bars. Works well & looks good.

I bought the cobra classic cs. They have different models with optional headrest. Still have a vintage look.
