Greetings! After many years of dreaming about building an FFR car I finally pulled the trigger on July 1st and ordered the Barrett-Jackson edition '35 hot rod truck. My plan is to build it pretty much as they show it - although I'm not completely sold on the door decals. As for the drive-train I plan to use an LS3 connect and cruise package with an auto trans. My kits estimated completion date is 9/21 so I still have to wait awhile.

A little about me: I worked at Boeing for 39 years and retired 2 1/2 years ago. I selected my user name based on the fact that after many decades of saving, investing, company matches in our 401K's, that at this point in our lives we are certainly playing with house money!!

I have been lurking on this forum for several years reading many, many of the build threads - I have to say that there are some real craftsmen here! Everyone seems very helpful and I hope i can join those ranks going forward.

That's all for now.

Welcome from a fellow Boeing guy! Still actively working and will be for quite some time :)
I'm up in Marysville. Are you up north or down south?

Don't worry, people here will help you spend all of your house money haha

So, whereabouts in WA are you? I get up to Longview a couple of times a year to see my mom and sister and would love to stop by to check out your build - if you happen to be in that end of the state.

I'm in Arlington - and after retiring from Boeing after 39 years I'm back there as a contractor, at least for another 6 or so weeks. Oh and by the way, I have no problem spending money - it's just way more fun when it's house money!!

Welcome on board! I'm the resident Noob so I look forward to learning from you. I would like to do the truck after I finish my Cobra so I will be following along.

Welcome, Gary! I spent a couple of years at Boeing in the early 90s, long enough to get the 777 off the ground. Hope your last few weeks go well and the time before your delivery goes quickly.

I'm not far south of you in Kirkland - let me know if you want to come by and see an in-process Mk 4. I love love love the '35 truck and hope to build one at some point.
