Born and raised in Poughkeepsie and lived in Millbrook and Rhinebeck for 30 years. I’m in Poughkeepsie/L.I./CT every month for work and every time I’m there, I wish I could drive my roadster on my hometown roads. (Even though the road conditions are terrible there)

Am now sort of in the southern tier of NY State - then sometimes in Pittsburgh and sometimes in Texas but gradually more often in NYS!
I have to pickup a new body from FFR for my well broken in body - by deer, other cars out on the track shooting gravel on the front of my car, and the occasional young drivers not looking at the road and bump me from behind. It's the hazards of driving a car! :)
FFR made me a new body - car that is! New garage going up in a few days, 24x24 for me to play in once more. This winter hope to have the body painted and installed on my car.

Restart of this tread, to beat the bushes for the Lake George Summer Run on July 8-10. Come out and join us for some great driving around the Adirondack Mountains! Last year was a blast and hoping to increase the Cobra count for 2022!

Its been a few years, I figured it would be worth a shoutout to see if there are any new builders/owners in Upstate New York, or even Western Massachusetts. I keep track of the loose confederation that calls itself the “Upstate Cobras”, open to any Factory Five builder, along with owners of all makes of Cobras & Daytonas.

To follow up with Pats post we have a nice little local group in the Albany area and spread out to the whole state and region for various events. The biggest is the Lake George weekend ride in July. We also do various car shows (some downstate) and try to connect with you southern NY guys whenever we can.

I missed out most of this summer because I was building another car but will be knee deep again next year.

We have a small Cobra group in the Rochester area. 13 members on a Facebook page called "Cobra Club of the Greater Fingerlakes". Not all are FFR but all are cobras. I have one more car show show this weekend and then the old stock 302 is coming out and the new 347 Blueprint is going in. While SBF is out it will allow me to make larger footboxs for my size 12's and so my wife's legs can be straighter!

Years past, I did the "Grapes and Snakes" run out Geneva. Vipers and Cobras for a run around Lake Seneca stopping at a few wineries and "paced laps" Watkins Glen. Always a great time. I haven't heard about that run in a few years. Something to think about... :cool::cool:

I haven't heard from Shane or Shawn in a few years (maybe 10 :() . Grapes and Snakes was a great time. Many guys from Buffalo/Rochester area. It would be great to restart that run!
