Best place to mount fuel pump

Using external electric fuel pump, where is best place to mount ? Assuming anywhere below fuel tank ?

Hi,
I'm at the same place you are, meaning I am wondering where. From what I understand it does not HAVE to be lower than the gas tank, but recommended. An expert told me that he installed them up near the trunk floor, as well as down in front of the rear axle near the floor of the car.
