For those who have built using the coyote engine, who has used the standard key to start it or went with a push start button? pros and cons?

Key. Simple installation & use. Put the key in & turn it on.
I agree w a key. Started out with a (cheap) push button from ebay. Cheap was ok, but especially in the build stages I wanted to easily know what "state" I was in and how to turn power on / off. Not obvious with a button like it is w a key.

I agree. As I sat here and thought about it, you have most of what you'd need for push button start, but the key is pretty straight-forward. IMHO, stick with the key.

Three ways you could go here. Straight ignition key turn setup. Or add a push button so that when the ignition key is in "run" you push the button to start. Maybe this is what you're asking about? Pretty straightforward to wire, although I personally am not sure of the attraction. Or you can go full on keyless with an RFID keyfob, etc. and true push button start. I've done the first (#8674) and last (Gen 3 Coupe). Links below. If you want to keep it simple and functional, the ignition key only is easy and pretty bulletproof. For the full keyless, I used a Digital Guard Dawg PBS-1 setup. Not legal or on the road yet, but fully wired and functional. With a couple of minor differences, wires just like the ignition switch and works as advertised. I'd recommend it if you want to go that way. Not cheap though.

I expected to see push button form most of the responses. I don't have a Coyote, but my thought is Cobras had keys. Push button is so daily driver these days.
