Got to do a short go kart today, wow this is going to be fun! Ok, now the question, is it feasible or advisable to install the wiper wheel boxes prior to putting on the body. I've had the body on once for a test fit and am about to put it on again, hopefully till after it's titled and been on the road awhile. Just seems like it would be easier and less mess in the engine compartment to get the holes drilled now.

I would hold off until the body is on and the windshield is in place before drilling the holes for the wipers. It's not that hard to install the gear boxes and other wiper parts.

Agreed. I've had to fill a lot of mislocated wiper holes.

Oops. I drilled the holes and installed the wipers (according to the instructions, even!) My thinking was that I'd need to have "working" wipers in order to get past inspection. Hopefully you'll be happy with the location, Jeff! (btw - there is one hole for the side mirror that is wrong...)

Check your state rules for self assembled vehicles. In Ohio, they didn't blink when I showed up with no wipers. It's all in the standard they SHOULD apply.
