Speed Dial with Auto Trans?

Setting up a Gen 1 Coyote with a 4R75W transmission.
Using a Baumann/US Shift-4 controller.
Would I still need to hook up the Ford Speed Dial? If so, would I splice in the controller wiring into the speed dial wiring?

Ray if you have a gen 2 coyote no speed dial is needed.
