I'd like to start the Coyote up this weekend but I don't have me side pipes (therefore no O2). Will the engine start and run for a bit so I can check for leaks?

I do not believe so. No way for the computer to know how to adjust the A/F mixture without the input from the sensor. I guess it may have a "limp home" mode, but I do not have direct knowledge of that feature, or really anything specific about the Engine Control Kit for the Coyote. Just applying my general knowledge about electronic control systems (EE).

I think it will, but again, no specific knowledge of the Coyote. I never adjusted my computer at all, and I have no O2 sensors hooked up at all. Runs fine.

I'd say plug them in, and it will likely go in to limp mode. Just a guess though, like everyone else.

Hi Joe - I just have the straight headers installed and no side pipes yet. I have my O2 sensors plugged in and laying in my floor boards. I have started the coyote several times this way.
