Trying to install the coyote accelerator pedal, but I’m having a lot of interference steering shaft. I’ve trimmed the pedal per the instructions and then some. But, the top mounting hole still rubs against the steering shaft.

Any help would be appreciated.

I also ran into problems installing then Coyote accelerator pedal using the current pedal mounting bracket. I documented the problems I ran into and the solution that worked for me. It was basically a combination of trimming the mounting surface of the pedal to match the pedal mounting bracket and using an upper bolt without a shoulder. https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/showthread.php?32060-Factory-Five%92s-new-Coyote-accelerator-pedal-mount-for-the-Roadster&p=365935#post365935

See post #49 of my build build thread (link in signature). You need to trim the area around the top mounting hole on the accelerator in the exact shape as the bracket.

Does anyone know if it will be a problem if I drill a new mounting hole and raise the coyote accelerator pedal mounting bracket by a 1/2”?

I've done two of them (Roadster and Coupe) and both required some "adjustment" to get installed. Both to the mounting bracket and the DBW module itself. Do what you need to make it fit. 1/2-inch or otherwise. Just be mindful of the steering column and also that the connector and cable have a clear path to be plugged in. I'd also recommend making sure you take into account the (1) pedal and pedal modification, (2) location of your brake and clutch pedals, and (3) footbox sidewall. Getting the pedal in the optimal position along with everything else will give the best driving experience. I like to set the seat in place and test how the pedals fit and feel under my feet.

I just posted a question on this subject. Has anyone tried the following?

just did this myself, it's pretty amazing how much work it took to install the pedal!
