Has anyone assembled a 32 deluxe grill yet? I’m missing parts according to the POL, but it doesn’t appear that way in the manual. I’d like to see how it mounts and what mounts to it.

Thanks!

To answer my own question, I spoke with factory five today and the 32 grill is totally different. There are a number of parts and components for assembling the grill and condenser that do not cross over. Considering that I apparently have one of the early ones, I will post as I assemble. Currently I’m missing a bunch of components.

Installation pics...

‘Installing grill in frame... I prefer using a 3/8 belt sander to notch the holes than using a drill bit to hog out the holes.

Condenser and radiator sandwich. Note the instructions don’t call out drilling the lower radiator holes yet....which you must do at the beginning of the project.

All assembled loosely the first time.

Go to Factoryfive.com/instructions. There is an update you can download for the 32 deluxe nose installation.

There are some errors in those instructions. I told Jim.

You didn't by chance weigh the new grill & radiator assembly? It appears to have a fiberglass shell that I expect is much lighter than the cast aluminum 33 style.

I didn’t, but I most certainly can. It does however have the condenser and fan attached. If you want something specific, ask me and I’ll be happy to get it for you.

That's great! Just need the weight of the grill, shell, and empty radiator. The 33 style is a bit porky and shedding front end weight would be an advantage on my car.

Complete assembly is 39#. The grill and shell weigh about 5#. Grill is just chromed sheet metal....

The bracket setup is fairly elaborate...

How did you route the lower radiator hose?

90* elbow off the radiator. Between the Coilovers and Bent up a piece of stainless pipe and routed it to the water pump. Can’t find a good picture.

This is early in the fab process.

Thanks. Seems like a bit of good fab work you had to do.

its a **** location for the connection. I wrestled with the metal hose for about an hour before packing it up for the night.

I like the set up. Was this standard material you could get on JEGS or Summit?

It wasn’t bad at all. I bought the stainless tubing from Summit with a handful of 45s and 90s. I used the corrugated to set up my angles, then transferred it to tubing.

By the way, I had the horns where the lower connection was and pulled them. Where did you move the horns to?

brilliant solution. I like simple and removable.

the only thing i dont like about the radiator is no trans cooler. they sent me the radiator for the original grill and it had one built it. Oh well. more money for the speed shops I guess.
