Getting close to starting final body work, prime and paint. Wanted to get mirrors installed so I won't have drill holes in painted panel. I removed the studs and worked on placment on body. With body narrowing in front I can't get the mirror to adjust enough to see down the car. Is there a wedge available to correct the angle on the mirror install. As they are they are pretty much unusable. I like the classic look of the swan mirror vs what others have done with different mirrors. Upgrade part perhaps. Looking for some help before I resort to local machine shop to get a part made.

We only carry the one style mirror for the hot rod. We do not have shims available for it. I have seen people mount them on the door so you can see it better from inside the car.

Best regards,

Brian, thanks for reply, that is where I was attemping to mount them, With Suicide doors mounted to the body afraid they would be in way getting in and out. I guess I will either make some wedges or I will sell these and buy different ones like others have done.

A simple mod for the mirrors is to replace the flat mirror with a fish eye blind spot mirror available at any auto store. I used them on both sides and increases your field of view tremedously. I was able to find some that fit in the housing perfectly.

Hmmm didnt think about that. Will take a look at auto store. Thanks for tip. I have one that edge of mirror has mirroring missing. Even the wife commented that it looked bad. Did you pop mirror out or just put dot on top.

I removed (smashed and clean out the broken glass) the old mirror and then just stuck the fish eye mirror on w/ double sided tape. 2,000 miles and they are still secure.
