Fortes clutch effort reducer

Hello Gents! Got a few Q's on Forte's Clutch effort reducer install and the basics on clutch cable adjustment process.
1) I had to remove this chunk of metal (thing is as heavy as a brick!) to install Forte's part. What is it for? It looks like some sort of brace or support?
2) which hole do I use to install? The hole the cable rests on is raised.
3) lastly, what is the process for adjusting a clutch cable? My clutch has many miles on it with "Spirited driving".

Can't help you with the effort reducer. Haven't used one and no knowledge. But that weight can and should be removed. It is mentioned in some FF instructions. It's for NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) purposes by Ford. Get it out of the way.

I use the slotted hole, where the cable end goes in.

Like Bob stated, the dimpled hole.

I have one of those reducers and chose not to use it because for me it hangs below the frame and that’s the last thing I want to bottom out on. I have a different transmission.

As for adjustment, I just made mine have very little play when released all the way released. I have to put a stop on my clutch pedal so it doesn’t go all of the way to the floor because the clutch goes over center and doesn’t like to come off the floor when shifting above about 6000 rpms.
